Leora Katz

Leora Katz Toronto

Leora graduated from the Media, Information & Technoculture Program at the University of Western Ontario. While she graduated the program with an honours BA, she still finds it odd and amusing that a faculty would make up a word like "Technoculture" and include it in a program name. After her undergrad, Leora received a post-graduate certificate in marketing management from Humber College.

Leora completed various internships and volunteer work that led to her first "real job" at an experiential marketing agency in Toronto. Initially brought on to coordinate the RBC Olympic & Paralympic Torch Relay, she also worked on other brand-building initiatives for RBC, a variety of P&G brands, and Nokia. She joined Rethink Toronto in August, 2010. Leora also sits on the Young Leadership Board of the Save a Child's Heart Foundation.

One of Leora's most favourite things is eating cake batter and cookie dough, although she also thoroughly enjoys riding bicycles, walking outside, jumping in lakes, writing, and making things look pretty. She is easily inspired by books, music, and long conversations with interesting people.
