Devin Leggett Vancouver
Devin began his education in 1999 with a full-time program in computer animation and special effects. He studied classical animation, life drawing, art history and 3D animation. A few years later Devin wanted a way to showcase his work online, so he picked up a book about HTML and started reading. He is self-taught in interactive and does his best to learn something new every day.
Devin started his career as a designer, creating print ads in a friend’s basement. A few years later, after honing his skills, he accepted a position at Norco Bikes as a designer/developer. It was at Norco that he first took an interest in interaction design. Five years later he left for a job at smashLAB, a boutique interactive studio in Gastown. After a brief stint with the smashLAB crew he decided it was time to explore some new opportunities, which brought him to his current position as an interaction designer at Rethink.
Outside of work he spends a great number of days at the Vancouver Aquarium talking to sea otters with his daughter Grace.
