Carson Ting and Justin Li have won a trip to the Cannes Advertising Festival thanks to their campaign for Smirnoff Flavoured Vodka in this year's National Advertising Awards, held last night at Toronto's Drake Hotel.
The awards are North America's only brief-based awards competition. The Rethink team was given a brief to inspire an at-home cocktail experience for Smirnoff. The duo's idea used projections to create the illusion of 3D neon bar signs outside apartment windows.
In addition to winning silver in the out-of-home category, the duo also won a merit award in the print category for their work for Ziploc bags.
The annual competition is sponsored by ADCAM Media Group in association with Canada Cannes and is sponsored by Yahoo! Canada, PFLAG, Diageo, SC Johnson, Campbell's and Aol.
