The first annual ad agency disc golf tournament (AAADGT), sponsored by Rethink, Resistor Art & Design, and requisite Pilsner-supplier Steam Whistle, takes place today on Ward's Island.
Creative Director Dré Labre is thrilled to be hosting the event. "Ball golf seemed like a clichéd and predictable way of schmoozing for the afternoon. Besides, disc golf is totally badass."
Canada's highest-ranked disc golfer, Kim Scott-Wood, will be on-site to initiate newcomers to the sport. The tourney includes T-shirts, prizes, memento Discraft discs, and a rockin' BBQ on Cloud City (a.k.a. Ward's Island Club House) with live music by The Calrizians.
The event was inspired by the Toronto ad community's love of disc golf, and by Rethink’s conviction, nay certainty, that we would win something.
