For 2009 Rethink gave the Global Comedy Festival a head-to-toe makeover. This year’s event ran from September 17 to 27 and featured 62 performers. Heavyweight stars like Steve Martin, Andy Dick and Carol Burnett joined a raft of up-and-comers. This year’s campaign positions the event as “a better festival” than alternatives like the Fringe Festival or the Jazz Festival. The campaign includes a new logo, two TV spots, three radio ads and a series of print ads.
The Vancouver Comedy Festival is in its seventh year of organizing world-class shows featuring the biggest names in comedy. Their shows are current, hip and contemporary and provide a quality of comedy that is truly unique in North America.
