A 30-ft wall of sticky notes arranged to form the word “Remember” was installed in downtown Vancouver. Each note carried a printed reminder to participate in the Alzheimer’s Society of B.C.’s annual Walk for Memories. The wall slowly dissolved over the course of the day as passersby took the notes as a lasting reminder; symbolic of the memory loss experienced by Alzheimer’s sufferers.
The Alzheimer's Society of BC is a province-wide non-profit organization that helps those facing dementia have the confidence and skills to maintain their quality of life. The society also works to align public perceptions with the real issues arising from Alzheimers, and to secure funding for support and research.
