Contrary to popular belief, Alberta's Libraries are modern resource facilities with a lot more than just books. They also have CDs, DVDs, Internet access and workshops.

In 2008 they launched an education campaign around the tagline "Books and Beyond." In the second year of this campaign, print pieces proved that librarians were determined to get the point across–– stamping people's faces with a variety of messages.

A website was created at booksandbeyond.ca, complete with a game where visitors can stamp their own face again and again, then send the results to friends and family.

The Alberta Library, created in 1997, is a collaboration of over 290 public, university, college, technical institute and special libraries throughout the province committed to barrier-free access to information, ideas and culture.
